Our Story

  • Eisenlohr racing products was officially founded in 1993 by Cary Eisenlohr. However decades of mechanical work and racing took place before the company was founded under this name.

  • Cary began autocrossing in 1976 with his first air cooled car, a 1966 Chevrolet Corvair that he had purchased for $100. He quickly began modifying the car for racing and when he realized the aftermarket could not keep up with his needs he began machining the parts himself. He quickly saw a business opportunity when other drivers would ask where he had gotten his parts from. As a result he started his first parts business called “Autodyne” in 1979. That same year he bought his first Porsche, a 1973 911E that he won his local autocross class championship with.

  • While attending autocross events and honing his skills as a driver Cary was also enrolled at Oregon state university where he majored in General Science and Mechanical Engineering Technology. In 1983 Cary moved from Oregon to southern California where he frequented Mulholland drive. In 1984 he bought his first race car, a factory supported 1981 Datsun 280ZX IMSA GTU car and began his IMSA racing career. In 1985 he won the GTU class and finished 15th overall in a Porsche 911. He then continued on to race the 24 hours of Daytona 5 times with a highest finish of 2nd in the GTU class and 17th overall in 1988, also in a Porsche 911. By the early 1990s he began to pull back from driving and focus deeper on suspension engineering and strategy for other teams including TruSpeed, Always Evolving, Tiger Racing, Kelly Moss, 911 Design, Alex Job Racing, and Cantrell Racing. During this time he decided that “Eisenlohr Racing Products” more accurately represented his company and in 1993 the name was made official.

  • Since then Eisenlohr Racing Products has been associated with some of the biggest names in the Porsche aftermarket including but not limited to Guntherwerks, Singer, Tarett Engineering, BBI, E-Motion Engineering, and Vasek Polak. Recently it was decided that the time has come for the company to expand and begin making even more of our suspension kits available to the public.
